A PERFECT RUN –THAT NEVER WAS IN THE HISTORY OF SUCCESS.

How many times have you heard people say, ‘I had a good day’ or ‘It was a good year for our team, company etc.’? Countless times. You and I do that many times too. The need and love for perfect things and endings have led some people to fall into traps that they end up regretting. Perfect time, perfect relationships, the perfect job you name them, they will never come. So now how come people say I had a perfect or good day.

Flawlessness is in Paradise only and rests with God. God is the only one who knows the future and it is uncertain to all of us. We wait for a perfect time as if we know if we are going to have it. What if the time we have now is all we have or is the last time we have? Can we wait for more longer if it is all we have? NO! We take action and see things getting done and correct the mistakes along the way. Because we are reluctant about the uncertainty of the future, we procrastinate or take more time looking for something perfect.

Life will never be customised to suit our desires rather we fit in its waves and sail in our own boats. We have the same time on earth and how we use it will determine how our ending will be. Successful people take action. Because they take action, they get results and they become happy.

Does that mean all they do is set on perfect grounds and conditions? Alas! Most of the time they don’t fall into a perfect time even by mistake. People like these do whatever is necessary for them to keep moving forward despite the situation. They know that if they wait, they might wait forever.

Pursuing your dreams, working towards attaining things you desire is hard. You find a lot of temptations along the way. You might be fighting hard to make your marriage work, but your ego kills everything or that workmate drives you crazy and you keep falling for them.

There is that Greek sculpture statue you envision your body to be. You sleep and dream having a body with well chiselled abs and body limbs but you cannot miss junk foods and you skip exercises. It is hard to stay on course and do the right thing. Hard things bring good results but we try by all means to avoid them. That makes our race to our goals and desires imperfect.

I was listening to my favorite speaker speaking about his family and marriage.  He does what he hated most and his marriage and family are happy. He used not to give up on an argument unless he wins and all he knew was ladies should do the dishes and washing and cannot contribute meaningfully to a fruitful discussion. Once he got counselling and started doing what he disliked. He would help with the dishes and listen to the suggestions of his family members. He found happiness. He compromised because he wanted to be happy and live well with his wife and family.

It is hectic to hear that a master works harder than his servant, right? I know what you are thinking. How can an employer work harder than his employee yet he pays him as well? Let me tell you something that will open your eyes and give you peace should you be or become an employer.

Most employers do not sleep more than their employees rather they exert more effort than their employees. They spend sleepless nights thinking and strategizing about how to make their businesses successful. I have read stories about many bosses and millionaires who have offices at home and at their workplaces. When they wake up, exercise they get into their offices and start working when their workers are sleeping or getting ready to go to work.

Why are they doing all this? They do that for many reasons but the primary one is they are racing towards the mark. These guys have set targets and dreams they desire more than their workers do or can imagine. They are willing to do anything, to die, to sweat till they get their goals. The other reason is; they will be trying to make things well where their workers did not do well. Most employees dislike work so they tend not to do their job properly. It will be the business owner’s duty to make sure that all is done well and meeting expectations.

The events in our life are never perfect nor smooth as we want them to be. The word perfect is only a term we take for granted to say the end result was closer to what we wanted or we are happy with the results. Somethings are always happening as we try to reach our goals. We have our down moments and frustrations. There are events that tear us apart and reduce us to nothing. When we get back up and do what we are supposed to do, we reach our goals. We pay less attention to the obstacles and celebrate but that is not a perfect run.

No matter the hardships and trials that you encounter in your way to greatness do not stop.  Always know that the sea is full of turbulences and that is part of the journey. Nothing in your life will be smooth nor perfect. I repeat nothing will be perfect.  You will be hurt, backstabbed, betrayed, and rejected by the people you love the most. Your trusted employees will steal from you or your employer you served diligently for many years will fail to pay you deliberately.

You will be cheated on and hurt when you least expect. Such is life. It was like that and it will be like that. You must not stop at anything. Get your way to your goals and happiness. Press towards the mark because that is where the prize is. If you don’t press hard and stand firm, you will not get to your goals.

You cannot win if you do not play. Remember, the tougher the battle the sweeter the victory. As things get tough, you have to get tougher as well. Upgrade your ways of getting things done. You will get to your desired goal.
