About Allan Gray Orbis Fellowship

The aim of our Fellowship Programme is to help university students prepare for life as a high-impact, responsible entrepreneur. Applicants must be in Grade 12 or 1st year university. Once applicants are successful, they are on boarded as Candidate Allan Gray Fellows.

Fellowship Application Requirements & Process

Youth Opportunities HubMinimum of 60% in Pure Mathematics OR a minimum of 80% in Mathematical literacy for final grade 11 results
Youth Opportunities HubMinimum average of 70% for final Grade 11 results (excluding Life Orientation)
Youth Opportunities HubApplicants must be under the age of 21 in the year of their application
Youth Opportunities HubSouth African Citizenship
Youth Opportunities HubIntention to study towards a Commerce, Science, Engineering, Law, Humanities, Arts & Health Science (Excluding Medicine, Veterinary Science and Dentistry) degree at the WITS, UJ, UCT, NMU, RU, UWC, SU, UP, UFS and UKZN.

Youth Opportunities HubCurrently studying at either – UCT, UWC, Tsiba, SU, RU, NMU, UKZN, UFS, WITS, UP or UJ
Youth Opportunities HubCurrently studying towards a degree in either – Law, Commerce, Science, Arts, Humanities, Engineering or Health Science (excluding Medicine, Veterinary Science and Dentistry)
