Applications are now open for the Green Futures Virtual Fellowship!

DEADLINE: 10 May 2023

The program was born out of the increasingly obvious need for bold, quick, and collective climate action.

The current education system does not enable today’s youth to understand and grasp the idea that the climate is changing and everyone needs to get involved.

Climate change is already occurring and having an influence on people’s lives all across the world.

With the global south unfairly affected and already suffering the most of a crisis it didn’t cause, our ability to move forward and take significant action to address climate change will be influenced by what we learn about it and what we do not learn about it.

This programme is here to shape the next generation of climate leaders in the global south through information, empowerment and innovation.

Mission for the Fellowship

The mission is to inspire young people from most affected areas to take charge of their future and take climate action in their communities.

The idea is to advance knowledge and a deep understanding of the climate crisis by providing free and open access materials and information that facilitates the growth and empowerment of the now and next generation of climate leaders.

The Green Futures Virtual Fellowship train and support our fellows to show up for their communities and become the change they want to be.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Be a citizen or resident in the Global South countries
  • Identified as someone who wants to take climate action
  • Be motivated individual with an already existing urge to take climate action in your community.
  • Are you willing to commit at least 2 hours per week for eight weeks
  • This program program is free to all accepted applicants
