About ClimateScience Tournament

ClimateScience, a UK charity, is organising the first-ever International ClimateScience Olympiad to find innovative solutions to achieve Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. 

Young students from all over the world can participate in two groups: 14-17 and 18-25 years. The Olympiad is divided into three phases. Online qualifying events will be held till September. Participants can either register for open-to-all events or have a private qualifier for their school/college/institution.

The top 5% of all qualifier participants advance to the global semi-finals, which are held online. Depending on the COVID-19 situation in November 2021, the final will be conducted in-person in Glasgow, UK or online where the top 25 teams will compete. If in-person, finalists will also be invited to the United Nations Climate Summit (COP26) in Glasgow, UK.

On top of that, the top 3 teams split the prize pool of $10,000 (USD) with $5,000 for 1st place, $3,000 for 2nd, and $2,000 for 3rd.
