HOW TO BE RECRUITED INTO THE SAPS (SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE SERVICE)

Are you interested in joining the SAPS? Working for the SAPS is a great opportunity not only in the context of your career but also when it comes to remuneration. After successful completion of your SAPS training you will be getting R189 279 per annum. Isn’t the great!

Being recruited into the SAPS is very much possible if you do the following:

  1. The first step is to read all the SAPS Requirements and then download the Application Form. When filling the form, please pay attention to detail.
  2. Secondly, when filling the form, do not forget to include the reference number on top of the Application Form. To make life easier for you, the SAPS Trainee reference number is Graduate 2022/2023. If you fail to adhere to all instructions on the application form, your application may be rejected. Please take note that THERE IS NO APPLICATION FEE required to apply or obtain the application form. If you encounter any bogus agency requesting illegal payment, please do not hesitate to report to any near police station.
  3. When you are done filling the form, you will have to hand deliver your application to the postal addresses mentioned in the Post Advertisement Document page 3 or https://www.saps.gov.za/careers/thumbnail.php?id=4597  (after opening the pdf document please go to page 3 where all postal addresses are mentioned).
  4. Please attach your comprehensive CV together with your Application Form. This also include Copies of your national ID, Senior Certificate / National Senior, Certificate / National Certificate(Vocational) and all educational qualifications (Degree / National Diploma) obtained and academic record must be attached, service certificates of previous employers (where applicable), motor vehicle driver’s license (optional). THE COPIES NEED NOT TO BE CERTIFIED.

Make sure that you are a South African citizen aged 18-30 years before you apply and you must be able to speak at least two languages whereby English is compulsory. Make sure that you have no previous criminal records or any tattoo marks on your body in line with the SAPS recruitment policy.

You will also undergo thorough medical examinations and SAPS training can be conducted in any part of South Africa. So be prepared to travel if you are genuinely interested in the SAPS opportunity. Lastly, I advise you to drop your application as early as possible to stand a better chance of being selected. All the best.
