Imperial College Business School is pleased to offer significant scholarship funding to our most talented applicants.

A range of scholarships are available, including several dedicated schemes for specific programmes, and it is recommended that you apply early to give yourself the best chance of receiving an award.

Scholarships and awards for all MSc programmes available for September 2022 entry

Africa Regional Scholarship – up to £10,000

Imperial College Business School is proud to be a global organisation with students from all over the world. To encourage this further, we are offering scholarships to African students who we believe would contribute to the Imperial community.

Eligibility

Applicants who are resident in one of the 54 African countries (as defined by the United Nations) will automatically be considered.

Requirements

A strong overall application with excellent academic background, career potential, references and personal statement.

How to apply

Candidates who submit their application for an MSc programme before the deadline advertised below and receive an offer for the programme will automatically be considered for this scholarship. Successful candidates will be notified by the Admissions team.

Deadline

  • MSc Business Analytics (on campus, full-time) and MSc International Management – 21 January 2022
  • All other MSc programmes – 1 February 2022

Black Future Leader Award – 50% of tuition fee

Imperial College Business School is proud to be a global organisation with students from all over the world. Currently, students from Black or mixed black backgrounds are unrepresented in our student cohort and we’re working to improve this. To encourage this further, we are offering scholarships to students from Black or mixed black backgrounds from all regions, who can demonstrate their leadership potential and want to make a positive contribution to the Imperial community.

Eligibility

The Black Future Leaders Scholarship is available to applicants demonstrating an outstanding track record of leadership and/or leadership potential. Self-identification of ethnicity from a Black or mixed background (including Black African or Black Caribbean and any other mixed black background) is also a requirement.

How to apply

Candidates who submit their MSc application before the deadline advertised below and receive an offer for their programme will be eligible to apply for this scholarship.

A video assessment is required for this scholarship. Further details will be communicated once you have received an offer for the programme.

  • A strong track record of leadership and/or leadership potential (this may include during your studies, work experience and internships, and/or within your community)
  • The overall strength of your application and interview performance, including references

Bright Network Scholarship – up to £10,000

Scholarships of up to £10,000 are available for members of the Bright Network.

Eligibility

All successful applicants who are members of the Bright Network will be automatically considered.

Requirements

  • Bright Network membership
  • An excellent application, demonstrating academic merit, strong professional, or community experience, leadership potential and a clear career plan.

Candidates who submit their application for an MSc programme before the deadline advertised below and receive an offer for the programme will automatically be considered for this scholarship. Successful candidates will be notified by the Admissions team.

Dean’s Impact Scholarship – £20,000

Our vision is to benefit business and improve society through the power of innovative thinking. We are delighted to offer the Dean’s Impact Scholarship to candidates who demonstrate impact and achievement in any of the five key areas listed below.

Candidates who submit their MSc programme application before the deadline advertised below and receive an offer for the programme will be eligible to apply for this scholarship. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit a video assessment after this date.

In the three-minute video response, you will need to explain how you have had an impact in one of the areas mentioned above, and how you plan to further contribute in this area before and after your studies.

Imperial Excellence Scholarship – up to £10,000

Scholarships are available for applicants demonstrating all-round excellence in their application and interview performance.

Eligibility

All successful applicants will automatically be considered.

How to apply

Candidates who submit their application for an MSc programme before the deadline advertised below and receive an offer for the programme will automatically be considered for this scholarship. Successful candidates will be notified by the Admissions team.

  • All other MSc programmes – 1 February 2022

LATAM Regional Scholarship – up to £10,000

Imperial College Business School is proud to be a global organisation with students from all over the world. To encourage this further, we are offering scholarships to Latin American students who we believe will contribute to the Imperial community.

Eligibility

Applicants who are resident in one of the 20 Latin American countries (as defined by the United Nations) will automatically be considered.

Requirements

A strong overall application with excellent academic background, career potential, references and personal statement.

LGBTQ+ Scholarship – £15,000

In the three-minute video response, you will need to explain why you would be a good candidate for the LGBTQ+ Scholarship and how you will support diversity and inclusion in education, the workplace and society.

Requirements

  • A strong track record of promoting diversity and inclusion
  • A desire to drive initiatives to encourage LGBTQ+ participation in business education and to champion equality within Imperial and beyond

Bright Network application fee waiver

We are delighted to support talented students by offering Bright Network members an application fee waiver. Please note the waiver covers the £80 application fee, but applicants are still required to pay full tuition fees. If you are already a member of the Bright Network, please email us at [email protected] with your name to request your discount code. If you are not yet a member of the Bright Network, please sign up, where you will also be given the discount code.

Please note: The waiver must be requested before you submit your application, and cannot be retrospectively applied.Imperial Loyalty Bursary – 10% of the tuition fees

Eligibility

We welcome applications from Imperial College London alumni. We offer a 10% bursary on tuition fees to successful candidates with an undergraduate degree from Imperial awarded at a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours, or Master’s degree awarded with a minimum of Merit.

How to apply

Imperial College London students or alumni who apply before the above deadline and receive an offer for the programme will automatically receive this award.

We cannot guarantee the availability of Imperial Loyalty Bursaries for applications received after the deadline.

Requirements

An undergraduate degree from Imperial awarded at a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours, or Master’s degree awarded with a minimum of Merit. Candidates who are currently in their final year will be assessed on their marks to date & predicted performance

Global Leadership Scholarship – Full tuition fee

Our Global Leadership Scholarship is available to MSc International Management applicants demonstrating an outstanding track record of leadership and/or outstanding leadership potential, a focused career plan and a strong overall application.

Eligible programmes

  • MSc International Management

Eligibility criteria

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability and passion to become a visionary business leader. To be considered for this scholarship, you must display leadership qualities and exceptional career potential in your application.

How to apply

Candidates who submit their MSc International Management application before the deadline advertised below and are shortlisted for the programme will be invited to apply for this scholarship.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit a video assessment. In the three-minute video response, you will be asked to describe the time when you had most impact as a leader.

Requirements

  • A strong track record of leadership – this may include during your studies, work experience and internships, and/or within your community
  • Outstanding future leadership potential
  • The overall strength of your application and interview performance, including a good academic background, good GMAT performance, a strong CV and a well-researched career plan
  • Your academic and/or professional references

Deadline

21 January 2022Women in Finance Scholarship – £20,000

Imperial College Business School is committed to closing the gender gap in business, and passionate about supporting talented women pursuing a career in finance. We are therefore pleased to offer scholarships of £20,000, to exceptional female candidates who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and career potential.

  • MSc Finance
  • MSc Finance & Accounting
  • MSc Financial Technology
  • MSc Investment & Wealth Management
  • MSc Risk Management & Financial Engineering

Eligibility criteria

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • >An exceptional academic background, typically a strong first class honours degree or international equivalent
  • A strong track record of leadership and/or leadership potential
  • Your references

How to apply

Candidates who submit their MSc programme application before the deadline advertised below and receive an offer for the programme will automatically be considered for this scholarship.

Your personal statement should highlight your leadership experience so far and what you have learnt from it. We are especially interested in hearing about any participation in diversity initiatives in your university or professional experience. Successful candidates will be notified by the Admissions team.

The WL “Bill” Byrnes Global Scholarship – £25,000

The W L “Bill” Byrnes Global Scholarship has been established thanks to a generous donation by the Fidelity UK Foundation in memory of Bill Byrnes, who played a significant role in the development of Fidelity as an international investment management business. 

The scholarship aims to support an academically brilliant student who can demonstrate that they have come from a financially disadvantaged background or are from the first generation in their family to attend university. 

One award of £25,000 is available to students joining the MSc Investment and Wealth Management programme.

Eligible programmes

  • MSc Investment & Wealth Management

Eligibility criteria

The scholarship will be awarded to applicants based on the following criteria:

  • A very strong academic background and potential for future success
  • Your performance during the admissions process, where academic and professional merit will be assessed
  • A track record of professional excellence and achievement through internships and/or work experience
  • Your video response demonstrating that you have overcome financial adversities to pursue your education, or that you are from the first generation in your family to attend university

How to apply

Candidates who submit their application for the MSc Investment and Wealth Management programme before the deadline advertised below and receive an offer for the programme will be eligible to apply for this scholarship. A video assessment is required for this scholarship, and details will be communicated once an offer has been made.

If you are offered an Imperial College Business School scholarship or Imperial Loyalty Bursary and are subsequently offered a larger award by us, the larger one would supersede the first award and would not be in addition to it. 

Scholarships awarded by Imperial College Business School are in the form of a reduction of the tuition fee.  Therefore, if you receive another scholarship that pays the full tuition fee directly to the College, you cannot also receive a scholarship from the Business School.
