Overview of Zimbabwe republic police recruitment

The Zimbabwe Republic Police is recruiting suitably qualified candidates who are Zimbabwean Citizens, physically fit to join the organisation as General Duty Constables and train for Diploma in Police Studies at Morris Police Academy, an affiliate of University of Zimbabwe

Requirements

To meet the minimum requirements for appointment into the Force in the rank of Constable, applicants:

  • Must be not less than 18 and not more than 22 years of age at the time of appointment.
  • Must have passed a minimum of five Ordinary Level subjects with Grade C or better in not more than 2 sittings, of which English Language, Mathematics and any other science subject are compulsory

Interested Applicants Should

  • Be physically and medically fit
  • Have a minimum height of 1.68m and weigh not less than 57 kgs for males
  • Have a minimum hieght of 1.60m and weigh not less than 55kgs for females
  • Be prepared to complete 5km road run in 20minutes for males and 25 minutes for females
  • Be of exemplary character.
  • have a good background with no criminal record or pending criminal prosecution.
  • fulfill health requirements as recommended by a Police Medical Officer

How to Apply?

  • Applicants to submit their hand written application letters with contact numbers and life history of between 450-500 words
  • A copy of National identity document and copies of educational qualifications in person to the Officer in Charge of the Nearest Police Station on or before 7 May 2021
