- An average pass mark of over 70%, excluding Life Orientation and Home Language.
- Evidence of financial need.

Science, Technology, Engineering, Accounting, Maths and Humanities (Music and LLB).
What the bursary covers
- Registration and tuition fees
- University accredited accommodation fees
- Books and stationery, including a laptop
- Meal allowance
- Tutor allowance
- Mental wellness support
Documents required
- Certified ID copies for the applicant, parents or legal guardians
- A certified copy of the latest academic transcripts or results
- Proof of income for both parents or legal guardians
- A testimonial letter from the principal, religious leader or traditional leader
