Short Description / Purpose of Job

  • Support with the effective and efficient execution of payroll processes, practices, and systems.
  • Enter, maintain, audit, and process payroll data.
  • Raise awareness of employees and line managers about HR processes and practices.

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

  • Participate in the implementation of HR administrative solutions within agreed work plans and timelines.
  • Assist with activities relating to payroll, including controls, the assurance of data availability, preparation of ad-hoc reports, and provision of technical support.
  • Deliver on time resolution of queries and requests.
  • Audit transactions performed by junior administrators, and conduct data health checks.
  • Perform quality assurance process on payroll inputs, and highlight any inconsistencies or errors.
  • Analyse payroll records, investigate issues, and take corrective actions.
  • Plan and implement recordkeeping processes for payroll data.
  • Carry out processes according to Service Level Commitments (SLCs) and service offering catalogue.
  • Help internal and external auditors with regular audits of payroll data.
  • Prepare ad-hoc/scheduled reports.
  • Support with the coordination of meetings and preparation of documentation.
  • Liaise with and consult HR and business units concerning governance and legislative issues.
  • Act as gatekeeper of governance of all HR remuneration policies, procedures, processes, and statutory legislation, to secure that employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Regularly review work to align team activities with Sasol Group policies, conditions of service, wage negotiations, and legislative and statutory requirements.
  • Raise awareness about payroll policies and processes.
  • Apply evidence-based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations.
  • Implement Sasol Group’s risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, HR teams, and line managers to enhance service delivery of the HR function.
  • Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals.

Formal Education

  • Diploma/B-degree in HR or relevant Behavioral Sciences

Min Experience

  • 3+ relevant years
