  • Provide knowledge and support to the design, initiation, implementation, management and facilitation of regional Stakeholder relations and engagement strategies.
  • Develop implementation plans in line with the identified needs and impact on stakeholders and business strategic objectives.
  • Ensure in-depth needs and environment analysis, issue early warning signals of stakeholder issues and recommend engagement strategies
  • Support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives taking into consideration corporate mandates & incorporating a regional flavour.
  • Provide key support to stakeholder engagement planning and execution
  • Manage and support the development and implementation of the Regional Stakeholder portal
  • Support the creation of an annual plan for community engagement, including raising awareness about the organization and development of engagement pathways employee volunteers to support CSR initiatives in the areas of health, education, and environment.
  • Monitor the success of community engagement and make course corrections in order to meet the established goals in each area.
  • Render governance and reporting support on stakeholder engagement programs and platforms
  • Build and maintain relations with Sasol stakeholders
  • Ensure prompt reporting on municipal service delivery deviation that might impact operations

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

  • Undertaking needs assessment to understand business, community and regulatory requirements i.e., environmental scans, feasibility studies, benchmarks, regulatory framework assessments, available resources and relevant stakeholder engagement.
  • Developing  a stakeholder map and identifying potential investment areas and risks.
  • Stay abreast with the latest CSR trends, stakeholder needs and global initiatives.
  • Delivery of the community response in line with service level agreements with business units, in support of the Sasol strategy.
  • Develop reporting and governance framework.
  • Support the Implementation of projects within ethical, corporate governance, project management, legal principles/practices and allocated resources.
  • Conducting impact assessments to determine value added to beneficiaries and contribution towards business strategic goals.
  • Support the monitoring and evaluating of stakeholder perception against set standards, timeframes and expectations of stakeholders (business, government and community).
  • Updating the budget spend in line with project implementation and disbursement of funds.
  • Support  due diligence on projects/interventions and safety, health and environmental risk identification.
  • Support planning, project management, problem solving and decision making principles in project  execution  and ensure that they meet stakeholder expectation.
  • Develop, write and coordinate and report on stakeholder engagement sessions to inform Communications Team.
  • Ensuring stakeholder engagements are in line with company’s values and goals and aligning the team and department to business performance goals.
