The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ&CD) invites all the unemployed graduates to gain workplace experience in the respective field of study. Interested applicants must submit their applications for internship to the address specified in each post. The application must include only completed and signed new Form Z83, obtainable from any Public Service Department or on the internet at www.gov.za, and a detailed Curriculum Vitae.  Certified copies of Identity Document, Senior Certificate and the highest required qualification as well as a driver’s license where necessary, will only be submitted by shortlisted candidates to HR on or before the day of the interview date. Application that do not comply with the above specifications will not be considered and will be disqualified. 

A pre-employment security screening will be conducted on RSA citizenship, credit record and verification of qualification. The outcome of this screening will be considered to determine suitability for employment. The DOJ&CD is an equal opportunity employer and candidates with disability are encouraged to apply.

Who should apply?

Unemployed South African graduates and TVET students, with a tertiary qualification in one of the below -mentioned fields of study who have not previously participated in any internship programme and In-service training.

These internships are based in all Provinces. Candidates who wish to apply for internship outside their respective Provinces must be able to find their own accommodation considering that they will not be earning a salary but only a stipend. Separate applications must be made for each Provincial Office which you are applying for and quoting the relevant reference number for the centre of your choice.Successful applicants will be placed in a post of Youth Development (150 posts), at the centre of their choice for a period of 18 months for TVET Students and 24 months for Graduate Students and remunerated a stipend depending on the qualification obtained.
