    About the Sasol Learner Fire Fighter Programme 2026

    Programme Location

    The learnership will be offered in the following locations:

    • Secunda
    • Sasolburg

    Available opportunities include:

    • 4 learner positions in Secunda
    • 8 learner positions in Sasolburg

    Applicants must reside within the Sasol local communities of Secunda or Sasolburg.

    Minimum Requirements

    To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must have:

    • A completed National Senior Certificate (Matric)
    • Technical Mathematics, Mathematics, or Mathematical Literacy
    • English or Business English
    • Technical Science or Physical Science
    • A valid Code B driver’s licence or higher
    • The ability to pass firefighting fitness assessments
    • The ability to pass stress and fear assessments involving heights, confined spaces, fire exposure, and cat ladders
    • Be between 18 and 29 years old
    • Be a resident of Secunda or Sasolburg local communities

    Meeting all minimum requirements is essential for consideration.

    Key Responsibilities

    Learners selected for the programme will:

    • Participate fully in the learnership programme
    • Complete all required assessments successfully
    • Attend workplace readiness activities
    • Participate in practical learning and development initiatives
