ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Manage Mine specific projects.

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS

  • -Execution of defined multi discipline strategic and capital projects, mainly in coal mining environment
  • -Execution of management and/or technical work related to defined projects
  • -Compile Business documents, presentations and reports
  • -Integration of proposed business solutions with business requirements
  • -Development and compilation of Business Strategies, plans and models
  • -Budget compilation
  • -Capital management and cash flow
  • -Basic business skills
  • -Basic legal skills as applicable in the project/ contract environment
  • -Ability to strategise, structure, negotiate, communicate and obtain results as a manager, an individual or within a team
  • -Must be able to manage service providers -Safety conscious person

Job Qualifications Requirements:

-B.Eng/ BSc Eng: with at least 24 Months relevant Engineering/Project Management experience

 OR

-B.Tech (Eng) with at least 36 Months relevant Engineering/Project Management experience

 OR

-Diploma in Engineering with at least 5 years total relevant Engineering/Project Management

-Engineering Government Certificate of Competence (Wish)

-PR Certificated Engineer (advantageous)

The following will be to your advantage:

  • -Financial Knowledge
  • -Business knowledge
  • -2 years Coal Mining experience
  • -Proven project management expertise
  • -Ability to manage, co-ordinate and integrate project related resources and functions both on a functional and matrix structure
  • -Ability to do business structuring, modelling and evaluation
