AngloAmerican Graduate Opportunity: Control and Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer

As a Graduate: Control and Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer, you will be involved and exposed to various projects within the Processing division to modernize and digitize processing plants which consists of Concentrators and Smelters. You will develop technical and operational capabilities in C&I Engineering activities related to the business of mining and processing.  

This is an exciting opportunity for graduates who want to have a smarter future within mining. Initially, you will be offered a three-year graduate programme with AngloAmerican Southern Africa Business Units rotating to two or more of the company’s Platinum sites where possible. (Three twelve-month placements). You have the chance to make a difference in real projects and follow a structured learning development journey.

Be available/willing to work in remote areas of South Africa as part of the Graduate Programme such as Northwest (Rustenburg) and Limpopo (Burgersfort, Steelpoort, Mokopane, Polokwane, Thabazimbi and Northam)

Qualifications

  • To qualify for the Anglo-American Graduate Programme, you must:   
  • Have a postgraduate degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. 
  • Have completed your Honours degree or are due to graduate/complete by December 2023.   
  • Have no more than two years of relevant work experience.   
  • Be a team player with strong leadership potential.   
  • Demonstrate drive, ambition, and a passion for challenging work in our operations.   
  • Be available/willing to work in remote areas of South Africa as part of the Graduate Programme such as North-west (Rustenburg) and Limpopo (Burgersfort, Steelpoort, Mokopane, Polokwane, Thabazimbi and Northam). 
  • This role requires a high level of mobility, you are encouraged to obtain a driver’s license.

Additional information

  • The first stage of the recruitment process is a review of your CV.  
  • Should you pass the initial screening stage, you will be invited to complete an on-demand video interview and game-based psychometric test where we will assess your motivation and competencies for the role.  
  • Then if successful you will be invited to our assessment centre with all the potential candidates.  
  • Candidates will be expected to undergo a Medical Fitness Test and Assessments.
