Short Description / Purpose of Job

Provide Technical support to Operations/Maintenance/Projects with respect to civil maintenance, modification, project, and contract management. Plan, and schedule, civil maintenance work and supervision civil engineering service providers

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance to ensure that the civil infrastructure is optimally maintained.
Calculate dimensions, square footage, profile and component specifications, and material quantities.
Conduct job execution risk assessment
Develop a quality management plan (QCP) and ensure that hold points on QCP are signed
Conduct service provider’s technical and safety performance appraisal
Planning and scheduling of maintenance work
Control costs to ensure that maintenance and projects are executed within the budget
Facilitate testing of construction materials and soil samples in laboratories
Enable knowledge transfer through the coaching of others.
Needs to be adaptable, self-driven, proactive and visible
Build networks and relationships to increase knowledge of cross-functional areas
Facilitate effective preventative maintenance of refractory, fireproofing, road, and building
Ensures adherence to Engineering principles and legislation
Quality check during task execution
Conduct Planned Task observations
Conduct fault finding on the water pipeline network
Verification of underground services prior to excavation
