General Handyman Post at Komatsu South Africa

Komatsu South Africa has an opportunity for a General Handyman to join the Facilities & Maintenance team at our Head Office in Germiston. This position is on a contract basis for 3 months. The preferred candidate should have at least 1 year experience of General Maintenance with Grade 12. 

QUALIFICATION:

  • Matric / Equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 Year General Maintenance

JOB SPECIFICATION:

  • Identifies any problems with regards to basic maintenance
  • Reports any maintenance issues to manager immediately (e.g. blocked drains, toilets not flushing, broken tiles, etc.)
  • Performs basic electrical tasks e.g. changing of light bulb
  • Basic structural upkeep e.g. filling & painting of cracks
  • Performs basic carpenter functions e.g. door repairs, cabinet repairs
  • Assists tradespeople with tasks
