New Connections Officer vacancy at Johannesburg Water

- REMUNERATION: R235 464 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM
PURPOSE
Process viable quotations and confirmed new connections and billable services on mis. Provide information directly to customers (walk-in and telephonically) on new connections and other billable services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive detailed documents on new connections, i.e. deed of transfer, Surveyor General Diagram (SG), site development plan, rational fire design via email from City of Johannesburg. Receive all valid provision of services (new connections, move meter, raise / lower manhole) that have been paid for. Complete works orders as per information received and validated on job card. Provide relevant information to customers’ requests (walk-in and telephonically). Interpret orthographic and other plans to advise customers on availability and suitable locations for connections. Liaise with Customer Care section on issues relating to information management. File all relevant documents in filing systems within department. Assist New Development Manager as and when required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualifications and experience:
• Grade 12 with Maths and Science/ N3 Technical Studies (NQF 4)
• 2 years’ experience in the operations and maintenance of water and sanitation. Experience in GIS and SAP.
