Job Advert Summary

The Instrument mechanician is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of process control systems within a specific area of responsibility to meet the highest specification standards in and around the worksite.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 
• Certified competency as an instrumentation mechanician – trade certificate
• At least 3 years’ process experience in role or a similar role

Primary Duties

• Conduct daily inspection of Instrumentation equipment’s under his/her control.
• Ensure that the correct tools are used to complete tasks.
• Ensure that all planned Instrumentation maintenance schedules are performed timely and accurately.
• Ensure that materials and equipment are available for the shift’s requirements.
• Assist in maintaining electrical equipment in area of responsibility
