e-Waste Administrative Assistant: Gauteng Department of e-Government.

The Gauteng Department of e-Government through its e-Waste Unit (Electronic Waste) is in the process of implementing the Gauteng e-Waste Management Strategy aimed at instituting safe and effective measures for the collection, processing and disposal of e-Waste in the Province.

The Programme is also designed to contribute to economic development, skills development and job creation. In this regard, the Department wishes to invite suitable persons meeting the criteria below to apply for the position of e-Waste Administrative Assistant.

The Department will be appointing 25 e-Waste Administrative Assistants (General Worker-Level 2).

Duties

  • Provide administrative assistance
  • Receive and record e-Waste products
  • Reception services
  • Sorting, dismantling and re-cycling of e-Waste
  • Refurbishment of e-Waste products
  • Customer service
  • Monitoring of e-Waste assets
  • Producing reports as required
  • Perform any e-Waste management administrative and support duties as may be directed by the supervisor

Applicants should meet the following criteria

  • South African citizenship
  • Matric certificate
  • Resident of Gauteng Province

The following will be an added advantage

  • Experience in Waste management
  • Experience in any admin job
