Chemical Engineering Intern Opportunity at SAPPI (Gauteng)

Sappi is offering a one-year internship for a recent graduate with a Diploma/Advanced Diploma/ B Tech in Chemical Engineering to gain real-world experience in our research laboratory.

  • Location: Technology Centre – Pretoria

The main responsibilities of the job:

– Perform laboratory and pilot plant experiments according to Sappi’s standard operating procedures.
– Operate bench top and pilot scale equipment.
– Generate research data and conduct data analysis.
– Report data from experiments and field testing in written reports and presentations.
– Participate in maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.

The ideal candidate must have:

– Grade 12/Matric qualification
– Diploma or Advanced Diploma/B Tech in Chemical Engineering
– No prior experience required
– Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
