Royal Bafokeng Institute RBI Technical and Vocational Education and Training Bursary

If you answered yes to the above questions, we are calling on you to apply for the RBI Technical and Vocational Education and Training Bursary and start paving a path towards your successful future. The bursary aims to address South Africa’s skills shortage with a particular focus on mining and engineering. It aims to enable academically deserving individuals who do not have the financial means to study, to do so through qualifications offered by TVET Colleges: Brits, Mankwe and Rustenburg campuses. These are:

Boiler making
Fitting and turning
Electrical engineering
Civil engineering
Rock engineering
Mining manager
Blasting ticket
Mining overseer
Mechanical engineering
Quality management

Bursaries are awarded towards: Tuition, study material and living expenses

Criteria for acceptance

To be eligible for the RBI Technical and Vocational Education and Training Bursary, you must:

Be a South African who is a bona fide Royal Bafokeng citizen
Have proven financial need as determined by your
household income
Not be currently receiving funding from NSFAS, Government or
other private sponsors.

The application process

The student must apply for admission at a TVET college
Once accepted, the student must submit the proof of acceptance and the following documentation to RBI by e-mail to: [email protected] before the closing date of 5 May 2023

Letter from Kgosana
Latest academic results (If already enrolled at a TVET college)
Proof of family income / an affidavit

All applicants will receive feedback on the status of their application for the RBI Technical and Vocational Education and Training Bursary before 10 May 2023. Should you not hear from Royal Bafokeng Institute on or before 10 May 2023, consider your application unsuccessful.
