IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Loading and off-loading of tools, material and equipment
- Performing housekeeping and stacking and storage in his work area.
- Material handling
- Working with hand tools
- Installing of materials at heights
- Assembling and dismantling of structures.
- Scaffolding
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12
- Working at Heights
EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge / experience in scaffolding.
- 3 years of experience in scaffolding.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Willing to work continuous operation shifts and overtime as and when required
- Must be medically fit and willing or able to work on heights.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
- Must be a mature self-motivated and well-disciplined individual
- Demonstrate dedication in meeting deadlines
- Stress tolerance
- Promote a high safety standard
- No Criminal record
